The third novel in the four part series, Rabbit is Rich was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book Award for Fiction in 1982, as well as the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction in 1981. On the cover it says the first printing consisted on 60,000 copies, which seems small considering what a major book this ended up being.
