Contemporary account of the Boston Massacre (pages 211-218), foreshadowing the Revolutionary War. Mentions Crispus Attucks being killed in the massacre. It is believed that he was the first person shot dead by British redcoats during the Boston Massacre. He was an American slave, merchant seaman and dockworker of Wampanoag and African descent. Many soldiers were tried for murder. John Adams defended the soldiers, and got most of them acquitted. Leather binding. Front board somewhat loose along spine.
