Volumes 1, 2 and 3 (of a 5 volume set?); half leather w/marbled paper over boards, marbled endpapers and edges. Raised bands and ornate gilt decoration on spine. Clean, solid. In each volume, on the front paste down, there is a bookplate stating that the books were donated to the YMCA as part of a library given in honor of Justus Lawrence on Yonkers, N.Y. However, based on the condition of the set, it does not appear any of the Young Men ever opened the books, and there are no library markings in any of the books.
