A very early one volume edition of Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, complete in one volume. This was issued as volume two of Swift's collected works 15 years after his death. Very good condition, but front cover is partially detached and should be reattached by a restorer. Appears to be original 18th century leather calf binding. 1760 stated in roman numeral letters on the title page. Contains all 5 rare map plates. This copy has the bookplate on the front pastedown of Josias Booker, who was the founding chairman of Royal Insurance Company and the Church of St. Anne. Royal Insurance is now known as RSA Insurance Group, Royal Insurance Company of Liverpool.
